Abstract
Until 1985 the Extracranial- intracranial bypass clinical practice was widely used, onthe patients who were not responding ta medical therapy and carotid endartectomy, ta increase cerebrovasculer reserve. But after the publishment of Extracranial-lntracranial lnternational Randomised Study Group in 1985, the clinical usage of extracranial-intracranial bypass decreased substantially. However, the extracranial-intracranial bypasstechnique arise nowadays again depending on developments of the surgical techniques, the developments of the microneurosurgery and the developments about the methods used far the evaluuation of cerebral reserve , thus publishment from the neurosurgeryclinics about Extracranial-lntracranial Bypass increased. In our clinic, the patients whoare admitted far the cerebrovasculer occlusive disease were evaluated by CT, MRI, SPECT and DSA (Digital Subtraction Angiography). For three patients, we used superior temporal artery- middle cerebral artery bypass tecnique and we eveluate our results.
