Abstract

lt's well known that myasthenia gravis commonly accompanies with thymoma, however, how myasthenia gravis occurs after thymomectomy is still not clearly understood. Here, postthymomectomy, the occurrence of myasthenia gravis syndrome following the recurrence of the disease was presented. In this case, myasthenia gravis was diagnosed by single fiber EMG while repetitive EMG failed to demonstrate it. Single fiber EMG may be a more sensitive method to detect myasthenia gravis.
