Abstract

Electrical status epilepticus during slow sleep (ESES) is an EEG pattern which occursin some epileptic syndromes . These syndromes are Landau Kleffner syndrome (LKS), Continuous spike and wave during slow sleep (CSWS) and Benign epilepsy of childhood with centrotemporal spikes (BECTS). Variations in the degree of clinical and EEG features have been described in these syndromes. İn this article, 11 patients with ESES were evaluated retrospectively. Seven had CSWS, two had LKS and two had BECTS.
