Abstract

Background: Brucellosis is an infection disease and is characterized by acute febrille illness, weakness and headache. The involvement of the nervous system is rare. Objectives: A few cases have been reported with symptoms and signs of optic neuritis, meningoencephalitis, meningomyelitis and cranial nerve palsy. We report a case who presented with abducens nerve palsy. Findings: The final diagnosis was brucellosis in this patient presented with diplopia. Conclusion: Brucellosis should be taken into consideration in differential diagnosis ofa patient who admitted with cranial nerve involvement.
