Abstract

It has been shown that affective disorders appearing during or after strokes are generallymajor or minor depression. Such depression occurs in % 30-50 of stroke patients. Frequently depression is associated with left cortical and left basal ganglia lesions. On the other hand mania is a rare complication of stroke and strongly associated with right hemisfer lesions. In this article, a case of post stroke mania is presented.
