Abstract

Objective: Because of improved visualization of posterior fossa structures with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cerebellar malformations are recognized with increasing frequency. In this report, we describe a 43-year-old asymptomatic woman with unilateral cerebellar agenesia. Case report: A fourty-three yea rs old woman patient with chronic headache was examined by MRI. There was no other focal neurological signs. MRI revealed right aplasic cerebellar hemisphere (totally absent). Conclusion: Cases with unilateral cerebellar agenesia that are usually asymptomatic have been described easily by imaging techniques.
