The Use of Apomorphine in Parkinson 's Disease

Apomophine, a D1 and D2 receptor agonist, was the fırst dopaminergic drug ever usedto treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD). In the last decade, subcutaneous infusions of apomorphine have been shown to improve motor complications of late stage PD. in this article treatment with the apomorphine in PD and its role as a diagnostic tool for assessing dopaminergic responsiveness are reviewed.
